QUT – Kelvin Grove Campus

S360 has recently completed this stunning modern refurbishment at QUT on Level-4 – E Block, at the Kelvin Grove Campus. S360 Electrical, S360 Plumbing, and S360 Air Conditioning were all involved in this high-end 1500m2 redevelopment which now houses multiple Education Precinct departments. These departments included the Executive Dean of Education Office, the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Digital Child, the Living Laboratory, the School of Early Childhood & Inclusive Education, and the Student Support Office.

The refurbished space received extensive acoustic treatment with multiple layers of special acoustic wall paneling, double glazing, and slab-to-slab partitioning to ensure privacy for users. As you can imagine, with the added presence of acoustic building materials, raked ceilings and unique acoustic treated floating ceilings involved in this project, it complicated the fitout somewhat, but the end result was amazing.

Working in a live university environment required close coordination with all stakeholders involved, and noisy works were undertaken out of hours to minimise disruption to campus operations.
